Story
The little child within her that played make-believe and saw worlds within the one we live in, was still a part of her. She swore to never lose that freedom to see the world differently, and she kept it. Where others saw challenges, she saw obstacle races. And then, she collected her best moments like seashells on the beach and strung a necklace out of it.

Story
“If you have to make peace, you must look the part.” Her husband was trying to mediate a quarrel between the boys. Something to do with paint and chopped-off hair. Sundays were dedicated to healing. She didn’t care if the house became a mini-battlefield. Her partner will take care of it while she drinks her tea, paints her nails and knits in the balcony. Her restful pursuits had detailed entries in her diary.
But she won’t be able to rest today. Last night ended in a loud fight. When adults fight, the air smells uncomfortable. It’s as if you haven’t prepared the bath water right; too cold or too warm.
She called the restaurant and booked a table. Checked with her family if they can pick up the boys. And then, locked herself up in the changing room. An hour later, she emerged in white.
A proposition was made to the father of the boys. He asked — in part shock and part surprise, “Am I also wearing white.” She said with resolve. “Just me. I am making peace and looking the part.”
They let out a giddy laugh.

Story
Dear Diary,
Do you know how whenever you watch a movie or a show that’s set in Mumbai, they invariably include a clip about the famous local trains? Well, today I decided to take the ultimate test that all true Mumbaikars must go through - I took the train. But before that, I did my research. It turns out that afternoons work the best, followed by late at night to beat the crowds. So, at 9 pm, I bought myself a round ticket to the farthest station from my house and hopped on. I have to admit that, at first, I was a little sceptical. I mean, what could possibly be special about a train ride? How different would it be to any other mode of public transport? But as the journey progressed, I realised that my train compartment was its own ecosystem. It had witnessed the formation of many new friendships, seen many tempers flare and subside, and the beginning and end of many stories. Many hopefuls had taken this same train to important interviews, many lovers to reach their soulmates, many to their ailing loved ones that needed them urgently, many to their places of work, worship and rest. Similarly, my story would find its place amongst the many clothes, woven into a seamless collage of old and new.
Question your perceptions when you’re wearing this gorgeous red and pink cotton dress.

Story
Of picnics and pigtails. Chaat and chips. And jolly belly laughs.
Summer combined handpicked ingredients. Elements that enacted their parts and slipped back into the meat safe, or between backyard whispers. A mix of bulk and just-a-littles, they came together in halves.
The tang of tamarind and the gloss of murabba agreed with freshly laundered, bone-dry clothes. One fortified the other. With unusual candour.
To this day, she has preserved a similar kind of glee.
She chirps, “It comes with sincerity— an emphatic dependence on aged recipes.”
Redeem a ticket to summer with our stunning yellow saree made of Kota cotton, featuring hand-embroidered Chikankari work.

Story
Years ago, when she was exploring Urdu literature, she came across a beautiful sonnet that spoke about the importance of being kind to everyone around you. On a particularly difficult day, when she felt as though the universe had conspired to make her suffer with a whirlpool of negative emotions such as self-doubt and inadequacy, she stumbled across that sonnet again. Her eyes skimmed the fourteen lines repeatedly, her mind comprehending the words and the lessons hidden in them. What she needed the most at that moment was to look at herself with kindness, to assure herself that the time and effort she’d invested in doing what she loved was not time wasted, and that the only way ahead was forward.
Be the best, most assured version of yourself when you wear this stunning maroon cotton blouse.

Story
She huffed and puffed her way and wondered if she would ever make it to the top. There was a spectacular view even as she was climbing. She caught a glimpse of the dramatic coastline, the brilliant shade of the sky and all that was around but she could hardly hold her eyes up. Amidst the tough walk, her view was more of the ferns rather than anything else. Before she could sigh in disappointment, the fern said “Hey I’m pretty too!” and she fell in love with this sprightly life!
This gorgeous screen-painted drape in green and multicoloured hues is perfection!
Description
The designs on this fabric come alive on our made-in-heaven mul sarees through an intricate process known as screen-printing. This process involves the usage of a mesh-screen made of synthetic polymers that is strung onto a metal or wooden frame at high tension. A stencil with the negative image of what is to be printed is placed beneath the screen and emulsion is applied to create a positive image that lets the dye seep through the screen. The dye is then applied on the fabric through the screen to print the desired image.
The base fabric for these sarees is the forever-favourite made-in-heaven mul.
The mul cotton is what we call ‘made in heaven’ at Suta. Known in West Bengal as mul mul, the fabric is buttery soft and delicately beautiful. The weave of this fabric is very fine, and this lends a very fluid texture to it that makes draping it a breeze. It is truly like a hug that wraps you in its love!

Story
The Greeks believed that the link between this world and the next was a river. A river that held magical powers and could also grant immortality to those that sought its refuge. And if you wanted to make your way safely down this river, you’d have to pay Charon, the ferryman, the price of a single gold coin. It fascinated her to learn that the journey from life to what lay beyond was a river – a waterbody that was never still or at ease, but constantly on the move. It made her think about how life was also like a river – with its highs and lows, but always on the move. Nothing was permanent and yet everything was profound. Every moment was rich with meaning and fertile with opportunity. She resolved to never let a single moment of her life pass by unfulfilled ever again so that when it was time to finally meet Charon, it would be the start of yet another chapter in her journey.
Live each moment to its fullest when you wear this beautiful black cotton blouse.
Description
Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce.
