Regi Vadiyalu which are popularly called as either elantha vadai or jujube vadai that has come from the name of the fruit jujube, used in the production of vadiyalu. Elantha vadai are mostly prepared once in a year during the winter season at regions of the Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. As at Godavari Vantillu, we are making it available for you throught year, jujebe vadiyalu that were made during November to February will impart brown colour as they will be prepared from fresh Jujube fruits, whereas the vadai prepared during remaining months will give black colour as they were produced with the dried regi pallu. These can be stored carefully for a month and can be eaten as snacks. Regi vadiyalu are the best and healthy substitutes for flour biscuits and hot chips with its crunchiness and piquant and mild sweet flavours.
